However, you can efficiently manage in-store order processing through Pickup's real-time Kitchen Display System (KDS), and all data is stored in the cloud, allowing you to download it as an Excel file and integrate it with your existing POS data at any time.
We are also continuously reviewing POS integration functionality.

What happens to Pickup order management if the internet suddenly goes down during the lunch rush? Will I have to shut down my business?

Pickup does not offer offline support, but you can use your smartphone to confirm orders in real-time and manage the Kitchen Display System (KDS). 
If the internet connection is lost, you can use a smartphone with data connectivity to check orders and contact customers directly to inform them about pickup or delivery arrangements. 
Order history is securely stored in the cloud, so you can resume normal service as soon as the internet connection is restored.

Question 15

If the POS system isn't integrated, will we have to manually enter each pickup order into the POS? Will this double our workload?

Accepted Answer

Yes, in the current version, there may be some **'duplicate work'**. You may need to receive orders for pickup and process payments separately through the POS system. To eliminate this inconvenience, we are currently developing integrations with major POS companies. We recommend this version only to those who feel the benefits of **'preventing order errors'** and **'reducing labor costs'** outweigh the inconvenience of duplicate work.

Will Pickup be responsible for no-show takeout orders? I'm concerned.

Please note that Pickup is not a payment platform and therefore cannot be held directly responsible for no-shows. However, you can minimize potential losses by contacting the customer directly via phone to confirm their order or by diligently monitoring order status through the Kitchen Display System (KDS).
